For the most up-to-date information, please visit the Canadian government's website on travel to Canada: https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid

For unvaccinated travellers (those who do not have a full dose of a Canada-approved vaccine) the 14- day self-isolation is mandatory. It may be may be spent at a private residence or hotel provided that it meets the quarantine requirements. You can use the RUIC International Student Travel Guide for tips when making your plan.

As of August 9th, the government authorized hotel quarantine will no longer apply, and those required to quarantine may do so at a private residence or hotel provided that it meets the quarantine requirement.

As of July 5th, fully vaccinated travellers must have a self-isolation plan to present at the border, but can go straight to their main residence and await the results of their airport test.
